| Please follow the step-by-step guide below to determine your drapery and equipment needs. If you need personal assistance, just
call us. We will be happy to help you.
Step 1: Determine the basic shape and perimeter linear footage
of the space to be draped, as well as the height of the ceiling.

Step 2: Start from the corner of the room with a Base and
Upright. Then, using 10’ long Crossbars, run the length of the wall,
placing a Base and Upright at the end of every 10’ Crossbar. Once
you have reached the end of the wall, you will determine the
necessary length of the last Crossbar.
(In the example below, the last Crossbar would be 8’ long)
Note: Using 10’ long Crossbars will ensure that the Crossbar will not
bow, as well as ensure better stability.

Step 3: Start from the last Base and Upright placed in Step 2
and follow the instructions indicated in Step 2.

Step 4: Start from the last Base and Upright placed in Step 3
and follow the instructions indicated in Step 2.

Step 5: Start from the last Base and Upright placed in Step 4,
and then from the first Base and Upright placed in Step 2. Determine
the number and length of Crossbars needed to encase the room,
leaving ony the entrance way.

Step 6: Count the number of Bases and Uprights needed.
(In the example above, (14) Bases and (14) Uprights would be
needed.)
Step 7: Count the number and length of Crossbars needed.
(In the example above, (10) 10’ Crossbars and (3) 8’ Crossbars
would be needed.)
Step 8: Determine the total length of all Crossbars needed.
(In the example above, calculate as follows:)
10 x 10 Linear Foot (LF) Crossbar = 100 LF
3 x 8 Linear Foot (LF) Crossbar = 24 LF
Total = 124 LF
Step 9: Multiply the total length of all Crossbars (calculated in
Step 8) by 2. This gives you the total linear footage of drapery
needed to adequately cover the walls.
(In the example above, calculate as follows:)
124 LF x 2 = 248 LF
Step 10: Determine if you will be using EventDrapey.com
Installation & Dismantle labor services (referred to as I&D) or hire
your own I&D labor. Please see “Conditions of Use” for care and
liability information for our drapery and equipment.
Step 11: If you will be using EventDrapery.com I&D labor
services, you determine the cost by multiplying the total linear
footage of drapery (calculated in Step 9) by $2.00/LF.
(In the example above, calculate as follows:)
248 LF x $2.00/LF = $496.00
If you will be hiring your own I&D labor, please skip this step.
Step 12: Determine which Drapery you will be using. Remember to make sure it is the correct height.
Step 13: Determine the height of the Uprights needed (which is
based on the height of the Drapery ordered).
Note: Uprights over 12’ tall require one Sandbag per Base, which are
priced at $1.00 each. For 20’ Uprights, two Sandbags are recommended.
(In the example above, calculate as follows:)
For 12’ Drapery: No Sandbags Required
For 14’ Drapery: 14 Bases x 1 = 14 Sandbags
For 20’ Drapery: 14 Bases x 2 = 28 Sandbags
Step 14: Input all information into your “wish list”, which will
calculate an estimated price. Upon completion of the checkout process, your wish list will be automatically e-mailed to an EventDrapery.com representative who will contact you to review
your order.
(In the example above, all calculations are as follows:)
(14) Bases
(14) Uprights
(10) 10’ Crossbars
(3) 8’ Crossbars
(248) Drapery LF
(248) I&D LF
